Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins is a Mexican American journalist. She is currently employed by ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. The first time she worked at ESPN in 2016. She is the child of journalists on TV Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first job as a production associate at Univision in Miami which gave her an opportunity to work with producers of national television shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. A CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become reporters for sports. The year 2009 saw her move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become reporter for news on The Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The newscast covered stories related to immigration as well as drug-trafficking on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she worked as a reporter on an evening newscast at 5. p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor, reporter and reporter of anchoring the 9 p.m. newscast in English and also reporting for the 10:30 p.m. Spanish newscast. She was also often asked to serve as an anchor for weather and sports. In the end, she was appointed anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given greater responsibilities. The anchor also worked as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' grandparents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point into Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November of 1985. There is an older sister. The family in 1992 quit Mexico and moved to Miami. She divorced her parents shortly afterwards and in 1995, she got married to a naval designer called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. The couple remained there in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, in which she was offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta who was in high school with a plan of what she wanted her career to be like, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. She was in love with the campus. They also offered the program she was interested in. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University as a major in media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her teacher Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a participant. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. In turn, she was determined to achieve his standards and not fail him.
